Trips and Visits

Trips

During a child's time at Gatley Primary School, they will experience many trips and visits which will seek to enrich the curriculum they experience and enhance their knowledge of the their local context.

Visitors have included African drumming workshops to enhance the music curriculum, Quidditch sports matches to enrich the PE and English curriculum and Code Breakers to enrich the history curriculum.

Trips within the local area have involved visits to: Manchester Airport, Styal Mill, Bridgewater Hall and Chester Zoo to name but a few. These trips are designed to enable our children to have working and enriched practical knowledge of their local environment and contexts linked to their curriculum themes in the classroom.

Our Year 6 pupils have the opportunity to experience a three day residential visit which supports them to develop all aspects of the school values in adventurous activities such as caving, zip lines, bouldering and the 3G swing!
